Travel Advice You Don't Normally Hear About

Planning a big trip can intimidating. If you are traveling to a new country whether it's your first time or your fifth time, I'm sharing a few tips I came up with from my own experiences of traveling abroad. Particularly the ones you didn't hear about before you left.

Happy Fourth of July!

Happy Fourth of July! Our little town puts on a huge full day's worth of Fourth of July festivities. They go all out when it comes to this holiday. Our day was packed full of family, friends, and fireworks! People come from all over hours in advance just to watch the fireworks show. In the past this only lasts about 15 minutes, but this year it was a whole thirty minutes of fireworks! It was such a good day and thankfully the rain held off all night even though there was a 70% chance all evening.

It's been really hot here the last couple weeks! We've been doing a lot of things this summer so far from weekend trips to the lake or beach, to cook-outs, and late night bonfires. In North Carolina there is a ton of things to do in the summer and something for everyone! (That is if you can stand being outside in upper 90 degree heat and 90% humidity!) With so many conflicting school and work schedules it's hard to get everyone in the family together, but on this day we all had the chance to head out to dinner on a Sunday evening. 

It was a such a pretty day and night.
